The RFID Work Surface Antenna is a key element of the TrueVUETM Inventory Intelligence solution suite. With a compact, low-profile design and focused reading range, this antenna adds cost-effective RFID reading points to point-of-sale (POS) cash wraps, kiosks and stockrooms. With additional RFID reading points, retailers can improve labour efficiency and enhance customer convenience, while providing the precise inventory accuracy needed to succeed in omni-channel retailing. Compatible with EPC Gen2 standard RFID tags, the IDA-1000 antenna reads accurately across a wide variety of product types including clothing, footwear, books, electronics and more. At the POS, the antenna provides near real-time visibility into which products are selling – dramatically improving restocking efforts and on-floor availability. Checkout is expedited by instantaneous reading of information on merchandise placed on or near the antenna instead of scanning barcodes by hand, to efficiently reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction. In the stockroom, the antenna supports numerous RFID workflow tasks including receiving small shipments of merchandise, transferring items to another location and writing new RFID tags with precision. At till points, the antenna provides more accurate product lookups and enables self-checkout to provide improved customer service.
